Job summary

SHOE SHOW, INC. seeks an experienced Keyholder for Store #103 in Welch, WV. This role supports store leadership and helps create a positive environment focused on knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient customer service.

You will help open and close the store, manage registers and cash deposits, and prepare the sales floor. You’ll assist with staffing, merchandising, promotions, and customer loyalty efforts.

Qualifications

• One year prior management/supervisory skills required.
• One year retail experience preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Must have a passion for excellent customer service.
• Must be available various hours including AM/PM and weekends.
• Must be able to operate company computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store; handle registers and cash deposits.
• Count cash and prepare bank deposits; manage sales floor readiness.
• Assess staffing needs and ensure balanced coverage.
• Support sales, cashiering, stocking, and product transfers.
• Tag merchandise and apply promotions and security sensors.
• Promote sales and build brand loyalty while leading by example.

SHOE SHOW, INC., the country's largest privately held footwear retailer in business for 66 years with nearly 1,000 stores in 47 states, is seeking an experienced Keyholder to join our team. This position is available at SHOE SHOW #103 located in Welch, WV.

What You Should Know

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW Keyholders assist Store Managers in leading and guiding the store team to create a positive environment focused on providing knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient customer service. By building relationships with customers and co-workers, the store will deliver maximum productivity and positive sales generation. Keyholders lead and inspire the team by being a positive role model and exhibit a customer comes first attitude, as well as serve as the leader in charge if the Store or Assistant Manager is not present.

What You Will Do

The Keyholder ensures smooth daily operations by managing operational tasks such as opening and closing the store, handling registers, counting cash, completing bank deposits, and preparing the sales floor for customers. They assess staffing needs, ensuring balanced coverage, and support the team in sales, cashiering, stocking, and product transfers. Keyholders also tag merchandise, apply promotions and security sensors, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization. Additionally, they engage customers by promoting sales and building brand loyalty. This role combines operational responsibilities with opportunities to develop leadership skills and contribute to the store's success.
