Job description

Key Technician – Merchandiser

Salary Range: $14.50 – 17/hr. (Part Time)

*Higher in areas where Minimum Wages exceeds $17/hr.

The Opportunity

As a Key Technician, you are in a customer-facing job, where you have a fixed, part-time schedule. Your main responsibility will be providing excellent customer service. You will mostly work alone with a variety of tasks each day. After your initial training, your main goal will be to keep your area clean and stocked while meeting the needs of each customer you serve.

What You’ll Do

  1. Understand the client’s company policies and procedures and follow them as directed.
  2. Create and maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with procedures.
  3. Cut keys to customers’ specifications.
  4. Stock product and report out of stocks.
  5. Cross-merchandise accessories, replace missing or worn labels, POP and racks.
  6. Attend promotional days and grand openings.
  7. Perform physical work necessary to tear down and/or assemble store displays, including racks and fixtures.
  8. Complete surveys as directed.
  9. Maintain key machines.
  10. Help train store personnel in key activity.
  11. Keep daily log as instructed by store manager.
  12. Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  13. Show up each day with understanding and patience: no list can be comprehensive and sometimes, duties can change as needed, with or without notice.

What You Need

  1. A desire to serve others
  2. Enjoyment in working independently with a variety of work
  3. Your own transportation
  4. Experience reading and setting planograms
  5. Great communication skills
  6. Occasionally ascend and descend ladders for stocking, fixtures, etc.
  7. Able to frequently walk, stand, bend, twist, climb, kneel, see, and otherwise move as necessary to perform essential functions.
  8. Must be able to stand 8+ hours on concrete floors and position self to move according to directions.
