JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively communicate the mission, vision and values of the Wichita YMCA
- Recruit and maintain enrollment of assigned sites through active program promotion and the development of relationships with schools, districts, partners and family in their assigned service delivery area
- Develop and manage staff in areas of responsibility
- Ensure all site maintain staff child ratio’s in accordance with KDHE regulation by providing substitute staff, moving staff from other programs, and/or filling in at sites as needed.
- Conduct weekly site visits and site inspections at assigned sites to ensure regulatory compliance and program quality
- Provide regular written and verbal feedback to Site Directors related to job performance and address areas were improvement as needed
- Provide coaching and direction to staff in regards to the management of child behaviors, communicating behavior with families, and support staff to develop and implement behavior plans as needed
- Provide on-going leadership, professional guidance and development to staff
- Coordinate communications, timely completion, and accuracy of all Human Resource and accounting documents
- Coordinate the purchase and delivery of program supplies, equipment, and resources
- Attend and participate in all department, branch, and citywide meetings and training sessions as scheduled
- Be an active leader in the Strong Community Campaign, overall support of the Child Care Branch and the Greater Wichita YMCA’s mission and vision
- Implement and follow the Association policies in regards to crisis communication, emergency response, documentation and reporting of all incidents/accidents
- All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum age of 21
- High school diploma/GED required, some college preferred
- Must have a minimum of one year of experience as a Latchkey Site Director or Camp Director and/or relevant work with school age children
- Experience supervising adults and/or volunteers
- CPR, AED, First Aid certification or acquire within 30 days of hire
- Must attend NEO within 30 days of hire
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Visual, auditory and verbal ability to communicate effectively
- High levels of alertness, concentration and initiative
- Position requires standing, walking, stooping, and bending in addition to withstanding periods of active routines outside
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times

Summary
Under the supervision of the School Aged Program Director, this position is responsible for the oversite and management of assigned KEY (latchkey) sites and staff, assists with School Day Out (SDO) and general program management activities. This is a 20-30 hour a week position.
