Job summary

IT’SUGAR is seeking a fun and dynamic Retail Keyholder to join our team. You will deliver a sweet customer experience, assist with sales floor merchandising, maintain product knowledge, and handle register duties while opening or closing the store.

This role combines hospitality with brand-driven responsibilities in a fast-paced candy shop environment. Ideal candidates are 18+, with a HS diploma preferred, and 6 months in retail.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months in a similar retail role preferred.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to use a POS/cash register.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and assist customers.
• Follow our customer engagement model, SUGARTAINMENT.
• Ensure sales floor is clean and organized while maintaining store visual standards.
• Operate POS/register to properly cash out all customers.
• Follow through on customer requests for specific items and suggest additional products.
• Use selling skills by explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, value, and other product information.
• Maintain store cash handling records and opening/closing procedures.
• Merchandise displays to visual guidelines and assist in promotions.
• Understand LP policies and communicate LP issues with Store Manager.
• Assist in set-up for special events and promotions.

Position Summary

Responsibilities include sales floor merchandising and maintenance, product knowledge, register duties, and opening or closing the store.

Responsibilities

Deliver Exceptional Customer Service

• Assist customers with requests and inquiries.
• Follow our customer engagement model, SUGARTAINMENT.
• Ensure sales floor is clean and organized while maintaining store visual standards.
• Operate POS/register to properly cash out all customers.

Achieve Sales Goals

• Follow through on customer requests for specific items and suggest additional products.
• Use selling skills by explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, value, and other product information.

Support Store Operations

• Maintain store cash handling records.
• Responsible for opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Merchandise displays to visual guidelines.
• Assist in set-up for special events and promotions.
• Understand all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and communicate LP issues with Store Manager.
• Operational responsibilities include, but are not limited to, sales floor backroom restroom maintenance, cleaning, mopping, etc.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Years of Experience: 6 months in a similar retail role preferred.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to use a POS/cash register.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Able to independently lift/move up to 25 lbs. Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Must be able to work alone or with the minimum amount of supervision.
