Job Description: Key Carrier at HomeGoods

Opportunity: Grow Your Career

The Key Carrier role is an extension of the Coordinator position, alternating responsibilities based on store needs. Key Carriers perform as Coordinators primarily, and as leaders in maintaining store operations. Open availability, including nights and weekends, is required. Role models exceptional customer service.

  1. Creates a positive customer experience both internally and externally
  2. Promotes honesty, integrity, and confidentiality
  3. Acts as Manager on Duty, following company policies
  4. Ensures store tasks are completed according to plan and priorities
  5. Addresses customer issues and coaches Associates
  6. Exercises discretion with customer service policies
  7. Maintains accurate Associate coverage for optimal customer service
  8. Ensures operational procedures are followed
  9. Executes opening and closing procedures per guidelines
  10. Communicates effectively with management and team
  11. Provides feedback, recognition, and coaching
  12. Partners with management on training needs
  13. Adheres to labor laws, policies, and procedures
  14. Promotes credit and loyalty programs
  15. Supports shrink reduction initiatives
  16. Promotes safety and maintains a safe environment
  17. Performs other duties as assigned
