The Key Carrier role is an extension of the Coordinator role, with responsibilities alternating based on store needs. Key Carriers primarily perform Coordinator duties and occasionally step into leadership roles, maintaining all aspects of store operations. They must have open availability, including nights and weekends, and serve as role models for exceptional customer service.
- Creates a positive customer experience both internally and externally
- Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
- Acts as Manager on Duty, adhering to company policies and procedures
- Ensures store team performs tasks according to store plans; prioritizes activities as needed
- Addresses immediate customer service issues and coaches Associates appropriately
- Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
- Maintains accurate Associate coverage for a positive customer experience
- Ensures Associates follow operational procedures
- Executes opening/closing procedures per company guidelines
- Communicates effectively with management and Associates, setting and addressing priorities, and providing updates
- Provides and receives recognition and constructive feedback
- Partners with Management on training needs to enhance effectiveness
- Ensures compliance with labor laws, policies, and procedures
- Promotes credit and loyalty programs
- Supports shrink reduction initiatives
- Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
Who We’re Looking For:
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Team player, effective with peers and supervisors
- Responsive to changes and unexpected situations
- Knowledge of company software, systems, and procedures
- Understanding of merchandise flow in stores
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach, delegate, and follow up effectively
- Capable of acting quickly under challenging circumstances
- Skilled at multi-tasking
- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Minimum of 1 year retail experience and 6 months leadership experience
