Position Summary

Lees Marketplace is hiring an Assistant Manager/Key Holder and you may be the perfect fit! As an Assistant Manager, you will open and close the store while overseeing the functions of the store, including all departments, when the department managers, store director, and assistant store director are not available. Primary Position Duties
  1. Develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
  2. Promote a high level of morale within departments and the store, using friendly but professional communication.
  3. Provide a safe, clean, and positive environment; build a culture based on relationships and continuous improvement.
  4. Follow all company policies, procedures, programs, and directives, referring to the Team Member Handbook regularly. Promote a harassment-free environment and report any harmful situations to management.
  5. Continuously build knowledge and skills through training and education for yourself and team members.
  6. Attend departmental, store, and company meetings as required; contribute to profits and meet productivity standards.
  7. Coordinate with the Grocery Manager and Store Director to oversee daily store operations.
  8. Delegate tasks to all employees within the grocery department and other departments as needed.
  9. Ensure completion of tasks as instructed by Grocery Manager and Store Director.
  10. Oversee responsibilities such as scheduling, personnel, store coupons, website, etc., as directed.
  11. Assist in achieving quarterly financial goals related to inventory control, labor, and quality.
  12. Maintain safe and proper storage for all money and documents nightly.
  13. Deal professionally with customers, resolving complaints within company policies.
  14. Understand store facilities and handle emergency situations appropriately.
  15. Know front-end equipment, policies, and procedures.
Position Requirements

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, LEES WILL TRAIN YOU!!

  • Minimum Age: 21 Years
  • Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift 30+ pounds
  • Equipment: Box cutter, handcart, pallet jack, ladders, trash compactor, cardboard compactor
  • Physical Abilities: Walk, stand, sit, twist, bend, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements; occasionally stoop, crouch, kneel, or crawl. Lifting may include floor to shoulder and overhead lifting. Climbing step stools or ladders may be required.
  • Communication: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand spoken language to respond to requests and interpret documents like safety rules and manuals.
Education or Skills

High School diploma or GED; related experience or training is a plus.
