Oncology Key Account Manager – Midwest

Due to continued success and growth, we have an opportunity for the role of Oncology Key Account Manager – Midwest (Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado) to join our experienced U.S. team. This role will report to the Vice President of Sales & Account Management.

The position will:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional account strategy to drive growth and market penetration within targeted cancer centers, academic medical centers, hospitals, IDNs, and large community oncology practices in the Midwest (MI, IN, IL, WI, IA, MN, ND, SD, NE, WY, CO).
  • Build and manage strategic account plans detailing procedures for protocol development in EHRs, inclusion in dispensing systems, current product placement on pathways and formularies, and identification of key influencers and decision-makers.
  • Conduct in-person visits to accounts to promote sales efforts, support contract pull-through, and provide clinical, efficacy, and safety information to key stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clinical and administrative decision-makers, including procurement teams.
  • Partner with Market Access to support GPO pull-through and triage contracting opportunities appropriately.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access & Reimbursement, and Commercial Operations to communicate the value and competitive differentiation of Shorla Oncology’s products.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes that may impact institutional and community oncology practices.
  • Represent Shorla Oncology at regional industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Track and report key performance metrics and provide market insights to internal leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmaceutical industry regulations and Shorla Oncology SOPs.

The successful candidate will have:

  • BA/BS degree required; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated sales success in the oncology marketplace, including experience selling to hospitals, IDNs, academic centers, or large community oncology practices.
  • Prior oncology product launch experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of oncology product distribution and purchasing, including GPOs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional English language fluency is essential.
  • Proven success in complex account management and a track record of building strong customer relationships.
  • Strong negotiation skills, executive presence, and the ability to navigate matrixed healthcare systems.
  • Superior selling skills to include planning, probing, challenging, closing and following up with clinical staff in assigned accounts.
  • Pre-existing relationships within key oncology accounts highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and CRM platforms.
  • Willingness to travel 60–80% within the assigned geography.
