Key Account Manager – Navy

This role uses key account management skills to call on the MRO sustainment command for the United States Navy.

Impact You’ll Make
  • Determine directions, priorities, and assign resources with full accountability for results.
  • Manage sales targets for assigned customers/area(s)/product line(s).
  • Identify and define market/product opportunities to meet sales and growth objectives.
  • Drive growth of 3M solutions at the Nation’s largest military depots and repair facilities.
  • Own, leverage, and cultivate senior level relationships at assigned accounts to identify business needs/drivers and position 3M solutions for growth.
  • Build and execute channel engagement plans that leverage existing government contracts and market trends.
  • Lead 3M Team members at assigned accounts to foster and drive collaboration in the attainment of assigned forecast.
  • Create, maintain, and execute pipeline of opportunities and engagements to realize the key sales targets and metrics.
Company Vehicle

This position may require driving a company vehicle if mileage requirements can be met by the geographic area in which the selected candidate lives. Pre‑employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history will be required.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success from day one, 3M requires at a minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
  • Three (3) years of account sales experience in a commercial, government, or military environment.

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
  • Five (5) years of military experience.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further include:

  • Three years of key account sales experience in a government or military environment.
  • Strategic management of product distribution companies.
  • Working cross‑functionally within a complex matrix organization.
  • Experience working as a government employee.
  • Skills include managing through CRM tools, selling skills, and C‑Suite sales.
Location, Travel & Relocation

Work Location: Remote in Sales Territory.

Travel: May include up to 50% domestic travel.

Relocation Assistance: Not authorized.
