Position Title: Key Account Manager (KAM), Healthcare (Acute Care) – Commercial Vertical Sales

Reports to: National Sales Manager, Vertical Sales

Job Summary:

The Key Account Manager, Healthcare (Acute Care) is responsible for developing, executing, and fostering a collaborative business partnership between Rubbermaid Commercial Products and critical stakeholders within the acute care healthcare segment to deliver volume, share and profit objectives for the company across multiple product lines. This role will have a direct end-user focus and require significant time to be spent on prospecting, uncovering and winning new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Core Focus: Build and foster relationships with c-suite leaderships from IDNs, Hospitals, and Managed Service Providers in order to uncover opportunities.
  • Daily prospecting of key healthcare stakeholders (all, but not limited to: Infection Prevention Specialists/Practitioners, Environmental Services Personnel, IDN Leadership/Procurement) with the goal of uncovering new business opportunities for Rubbermaid Commercial Products.
  • Conceptualize, build out, and ultimately execute a successful go to market strategy for all segments of healthcare with a heavy focus on the acute care market.
  • Sell-in trial programs; train/educate, actively follow up and close deals.
  • Leverage all possible outreach methods; maintain a strong and effective LinkedIn presence; uncover and attend critical industry shows; leverage all possible Networking opportunities.
  • Develops and executes category selling plans that consider market needs, helps the customer achieve their objectives, and simultaneously delivers on company annual objectives.
  • Lead and communicate important learnings to internal cross-functional teams in order to deliver collaborative objectives.
  • Become a well-known advocate of Rubbermaid Commercial Products’ unique ability to help hospitals provide better service to their customers through, most notably, hygiene-driving microfiber programs and through the implementation of various tools in material handling and refuse that can help hospitals with their noise control and productivity challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or Biological Sciences.
  • Willing to spend the time necessary to prospect and perform cold calling for new business.
  • Proven ability to prospect, uncover opportunities, and convert to sales.
  • 3+ years sales experience in healthcare (Acute, non-acute, Long Term care); ideally in infection prevention, decontamination, MedSurg, medical devices/capital equipment.
  • Experience selling into IDN (Integrated Delivery Networks) health systems and established purchasing and leadership connections.
  • Ability to thrive and be flexible in a fast-paced environment; experience with Challenger selling a plus.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills; interpersonal savvy; must be able to present data in an organized manner.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and exceptional drive for results.

  • Comfort with interpreting and understanding customer provided data such as POS, COGS etc…
  • Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Up to 40% - 50% Travel.

The Remote base pay range for this position is from $123,325 to $150,775. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
