Position Summary:

The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets within their assigned territory by fostering strategic partnerships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and key stakeholders. This role focuses on delivering impactful, solution-oriented communication to highlight the clinical benefits, safety profile, and approved indications of assigned products, ensuring their appropriate and effective use. By leveraging approved tools and resources, the Key Account Manager promotes product adoption, builds market share, and enhances customer engagement. With a strong emphasis on relationship management, market insights, and program execution, the Key Account Manager plays a critical role in aligning territory performance with business objectives while adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Consistently achieve or exceed territory sales objectives and revenue targets.
  • Effectively manage daily sales activities and performance in alignment with defined organizational expectations.
  • Identify, profile, and maintain a strategic focus on a targeted list of Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
  • Develop and execute comprehensive territory business plans to drive sales performance and meet overall business goals.
  • Engage with customers professionally and compliantly, utilizing advanced selling, listening, and negotiation skills, along with approved messaging and promotional resources, to communicate product value effectively.
  • Accurately record and verify daily sales activity and customer interactions within the CRM system in a timely manner.
  • Proactively address customer inquiries and needs, ensuring thoughtful and appropriate responses that strengthen relationships.
  • Establish and maintain a strong, positive impression with both customers and the Client, serving as a trusted representative of the organization.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports for management as required to support performance tracking and decision-making.
  • Ensure full understanding of and adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, Amplity Solutions policies, Code of Conduct, privacy and data guidelines, and industry standards, including PDMA Guidelines and Sample Administrative Agreements.
  • Actively participate in national, regional, and district meetings, as well as training sessions, and represent the Client at relevant conventions or conferences when applicable.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 4+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience required with greater than 4 years preferred
  • Buy and bill experience a plus
  • Neurology experience desired
  • Limited distribution model experience preferred
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with key HCPs and practices
  • Account management experience needed
  • A record of consistent top sales performance
  • Strong technical skills and computer proficiency
  • Willingness to cover a large geography as needed
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Experience analyzing data and market trends
  • Ability to work with HCPs at various levels in an engaging and influential manner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly collaborative and a relationships cultivator
  • Ability to proactively identify potential challenges and find effective solutions
  • Able to align strategies and resources to achieve sales objectives

  • Successfully complete all required Amplity and client and product training programs to maintain product expertise and compliance standards.

For Field Teams

  • Must be able to travel to, attend, and actively participate in all required training sessions, including both virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Successfully complete all mandatory training expectations including virtual and live training sessions.
  • Achieve a passing grade on all product knowledge exams and certifications within the specified timeframes.

Auto Allowance:

  • Valid driver’s license with safe driving record

Credentialing Requirements:

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Company’s expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.

Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.

Salary Expectations:

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $130K - $135K. The salary range displayed may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, certain degrees, certifications, and other relevant factors.
