About Our Team We own portfolio of offerings within Biotech, Pharma and MedTech markets covering multiple verticals within the Corporate Segment. We aim to expand and grow our revenue footprint.

About the Role The Key Account Manager drives commercial excellence by delivering sustainable revenue growth and building long-term strategic partnerships within assigned accounts and territories. This includes managing renewals, identifying new opportunities, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders to deliver value aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs, industry trends, and the ability to position the full Elsevier portfolio to create value.

Responsibilities Driving Commercial Edge
  • Prioritizing customers: Conduct comprehensive needs analysis to understand customer challenges, goals, and opportunities.
  • Representing Elsevier as a trusted advisor, aligning solutions to customer strategies and delivering measurable improvements.
  • Delivering sustainable performance: Achieve revenue targets through new sales and timely renewals, ensuring long-term account growth.
  • Using data and insights to inform decisions, forecast accurately, and identify growth opportunities across the full portfolio.
Collaborate to Deliver
  • Partnering with internal teams (marketing, product, customer success) to design and execute strategic account plans.
  • Communicating impactfully with stakeholders, presenting solutions clearly and persuasively.
  • Championing inclusion and leverage diverse perspectives to strengthen customer engagement and team performance.

  • Navigating complex, matrix environments and adapt quickly to changing customer needs and market conditions.

Primary Location Base Pay Range: Home based-Ohio $62,300 - $103,700. Total Target Cash Range: $95,900 - $159,800.

If performed in Illinois, the base pay range is $68,900 - $114,800, the total target cash range is $105,900 - $176,600.

If performed in Chicago, IL, the base pay range is $72,100 - $120,200, the total target cash range is $111,000 - $185,000.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $65,600 - $109,200, Total Target Cash Range: $100,900 - $168,200. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. Pay mix between base and variable pay varies based on sales role; please discuss with the recruiter.
