Job summary

Munters is seeking a seasoned Key Account Manager to drive sales of evaporative media and systems. This remote role requires strong HVAC expertise, a technical mindset, and the ability to manage premier customer relationships across multiple accounts.

Travel up to 50% is anticipated to meet clients and attend events. The candidate should have a BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, plus at least five years of HVAC sales experience and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned existing key customer accounts and prospect for new customers.
• Serve as primary point of contact for key accounts; process RFQs and coordinate with applications engineering.
• Prepare customer proposals with media performance metrics, pricing, and terms.
• Attend trade shows and customer training sessions; create customized presentations.
• Host customer visits and factory witness test events; provide monthly forecast.

JOB SUMMARY:

Sales professional with a proven history successfully selling evaporative media and systems. Candidate will have technical aptitude with minimum 5 years' HVAC experience and demonstrated success managing key accounts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage assigned existing key customer accounts and prospect for new customers

• Fulfill the role of Munters primary point of contact for key accounts. Process RFQ's, work with applications engineering to provide Munters evaporative cooling solutions to meet customer needs, help resolve disputes, help set customer expectations.
• Work with applications engineers to prepare customer proposals that include media performance metrics, pricing, and terms and conditions.
• Attend & present at trade shows and customer training sessions
• Create Power Point and spread sheet presentations customized to meet customer needs
• Host customer visits and factory witness test events
• Provide monthly order and revenue forecast

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• BS Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent technical knowledge
• Minimum 5+ years HVAC sales experience
• Excellent verbal/presentation and writing skills
• Expertise with Microsoft Office and ability to run technical analysis software
• Proven customer relation management skills
• Ability to work productively on own with minimal direct supervision
• Detail oriented, dependable, professional appearance, positive attitude
• Team player with excellent social & negotiation skills
• Utmost in confidentiality required
• Willingness to travel up to 50%

• Demonstrates knowledge of Munters products, applications and services by providing accurate information and solutions to customers. Understands applications of products and service offerings in a variety of customer environments.
• Establishes a systematic course of action for self and others to ensure accomplishment of objectives and goals. Proactively determines priorities and allocates time and resources effectively. Develops call plans and customer strategies. Manages time effectively.
• Establishes a full understanding of current and new customer requirements at all levels and ensures that Munters is regarded as a preferred provider to accounts. Applies flexibility and innovation to develop and execute strategies, tactics and to close deals for accounts and other customers.
