Job summary

CSA Group in Toronto is seeking a dynamic sales professional to lead the sales process for assigned accounts, respond to client inquiries, and prepare cost proposals. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Customer Care teams to drive growth and maintain accurate client files.

The role requires post-secondary education, 2-4 years of sales experience, and knowledge of Salesforce/Workday; Toronto base with a target-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education required.
  • 2-4 years of sales experience.
  • Understanding of Salesforce and Workday is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the safety certification industry.
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook or equivalent CRM application, and database applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent phone and customer service skills.
  • Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to maintain positive contacts at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Ability to prepare cost proposals promptly to meet customers’ needs.
  • Strong organization and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to draft and deliver sales presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the business and initiate the sales process, providing preliminary and ongoing information to existing clients.
  • Respond promptly to all inquiries and visits with clients, presenting information regarding CSA Group services.
  • Prioritize work assignments and follow‑up responses to client inquiries and proposals.
  • Manage relationships with clients, identify growth opportunities, and develop approaches to secure new business.
  • Prepare cost proposals using applicable questionnaires and worksheets.
  • Maintain accurate and complete client files, including data entry into the shared sales database.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to support and promote continued growth of new business.
  • Assist customers with inquiries, quotes and services within an assigned area.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team for event support, including pre‑work, scheduling, mailings, marketing materials and customer contacts.
  • Promote CSA testing services, including certification and SI/FE, and facilitate appropriate internal contacts for other services.
  • Send proposals to clients, conduct follow‑up calls, and document activities for further follow‑up, including Notices and FIR Findings where applicable.
  • Follow up on open quotations and sales opportunities, and research customer accounts to identify growth opportunities and generate leads.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets for assigned medium‑size accounts.
  • Document and report hazards, near misses, incidents and unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Demonstrate safe behavior and adhere to HSE procedures.
  • Complete all assigned training events.

Job Summary

Salary & Benefits

The typical hiring range for this position in Toronto, Ontario is $67,000 – $89,000 CAD gross annually. The actual base pay offered will depend on factors such as education, licenses, certifications and experience. Permanent employees may be eligible for our annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
