Job summary

Serenity Healthcare in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Ketamine Infusion Nurse to deliver safe, effective treatment in a calm, patient‑centered outpatient setting.

As part of a collaborative team, you will monitor patients, manage IV infusions, explain procedures to families, document care thoroughly, and provide telehealth support when not infusing.

Enjoy competitive pay, three 12‑hour shifts per week with alternating Saturdays and no Sundays, plus strong benefits, PTO/PSL, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Proficient with IV placement, maintenance and removal.
• Strong knowledge of medications, sterile technique and infection control.
• Excellent communication and patient-focused interpersonal skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer Ketamine via IV safely and effectively.
• Monitor patients and provide supportive care during treatment.
• Explain the infusion process to patients and families to build confidence.
• Offer calm emotional support throughout the procedure.
• Maintain thorough documentation of care and outcomes.
• Support providers and patients via telehealth when not infusing.
• Collaborate with the team to cover shifts as needed.

The Role: Ketamine Infusion Nurse

As a Ketamine Infusion Nurse, you'll deliver safe, effective treatment in a calm, supportive setting—monitoring patients, managing care, and ensuring comfort throughout.

What You Will Be Doing

• Safely and effectively administering Ketamine via IV
• Caring closely for patients during every step of the process
• Explaining ketamine infusion to patients and their families in a way that inspires confidence and peace
• Providing calm, reassuring emotional support throughout treatment
• Demonstrating thorough documentation
• Providing support to providers and patients via telehealth when not administering infusions
• Jumping in where needed — we're a team, and flexibility is part of the flow

What You Need

• Registered Nurse (RN) License - current, active and unrestricted
• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• Confident with IV placement, upkeep, and management from start to finish
• Solid knowledge of meds, sterile technique, and infection control
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - a focus on patient experience
• Flexibility and adaptability as situations require
