Job Details

Location: Four Rivers Career Academy, Hickman, Kentucky

Salary Range: Provided by Commonwealth of Kentucky; actual pay depends on skills and experience.

Position Overview

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE), is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Instructor. Benefits include membership in the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System, paid sick leave, holidays, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Teach occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Additional Information

Selected applicant will join the Teachers' Retirement System per KRS 161.220. May be required to submit to drug screening and background checks.

Salary depends on qualifications, training, and experience.

KDE participates in E-Verify; employment is contingent upon verification of work authorization.

Minimum Requirements
  • Hold a Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area, or
  • Hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area, or
  • Have four years of relevant work experience, with two years in the last five.

Additional Requirements: Ability to acquire national certifications (NCCER, ABC, AGC). Certification must be obtained at the next testing opportunity if not currently held.
