Job description

Title: Kentucky Plant Manager
Location: Richwood, KY

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Manager to oversee our Kentucky plant. The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all functions of the production operations across multiple shifts, ensuring alignment with company policies, safety standards, and production goals. This position plays a key leadership role in managing departmental supervisors, improving productivity, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and collaboration. This role requires a strong leader with experience in production management and will play a critical role in optimizing plant performance and fostering a culture of safety.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, plan, and control all plant departments and production activities to meet established schedules and quality standards at optimal costs.
  • Enforce adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Lead plant safety efforts including incident investigation, safety committee oversight, training coordination (CPR/First Aid), and compliance audits.
  • Recruit, train, and develop qualified personnel to support production demands.
  • Monitor and manage plant costs, expenses, waste, and workforce performance.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Works with sales to address customer complaints and initiate corrective actions.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between plant supervisors, HR, and upper management.
  • Manage disciplinary actions and grievance resolutions in accordance with company policy.
  • Recommend equipment, tooling, and workforce requirements to meet production needs.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and vendor services (janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, etc.) to maintain a clean, safe and orderly plant.
  • Maintain administrative records including production data, attendance, and personnel records.
  • Participate in and support employee training, development, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in plant management or a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment. (3 - 5 years of experience)
  • Strong knowledge of production management principles, quality control processes, and supply chain operations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, enforce policies, and drive continuous improvement.
