Job summary

Charleston Animal Society on our Charleston Campus in North Charleston is seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician to provide daily exercise and compassionate care for shelter dogs, especially larger breeds. You will work outdoors and indoors, monitor health, assist with feeding, and maintain clean kennels and records.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, weekend and holiday availability, and a compassionate, reliable, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Previous shelter or large-dog handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented with a love for animals.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.

This role involves providing physical exercise and compassionate care for our shelter dogs, particularly larger breeds. If you have a passion for animal welfare, love spending time outdoors, and are comfortable handling strong dogs, this could be the perfect role for you.

$15/hr
