Qualifications

• Experience with animal care and handling.
• Ability to chart patient records and assist with procedures.
• Familiarity with basic medications for pets and post-procedure care.

Responsibilities

• Check in/out pets; record weights, temperatures, flea checks, baths, brushing.
• Feed and water pets; walk dogs; assist with bathing.
• Assist doctors, technicians, and vet assistants; hold pets safely; collect samples.
• Assist with radiographs and lab work; maintain clean kennels and building.

Job description

Animal care includes but not limited to:

• checking pets in and out including weights, temperatures, checking for fleas, cleanup baths and brushing.
• feeding and watering pets
• walking canines
• administering medications to pets
• bathing patients
• charting patient records

Cleaning: kennels and all parts of the building

Assisting doctors, technicians and veterinary assistants:

• holding pets safely
• collecting samples for tests such as urine
• assisting with procedures, taking radiographs and lab work
