Global K9 Protection Group is seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician in Opelika, AL. The role offers both full-time and part-time hourly positions.

You will feed, groom, and care for dogs, assist veterinarians and kennel staff with medications, collect specimens, and keep the kennels clean and safe according to a set schedule. Flexibility for weekend work and a proactive, team-oriented attitude are essential.

Responsabilités

• Feed animals as prescribed by Kennel Manager.
• Groom and bath canines.
• Assist doctors and kennel manager with administration of medications or with patient restraint.
• Collect urine and fecal specimens.
• Maintain kennel cleanliness according to a schedule (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Follow cleaning and sanitizing routines, using appropriate chemicals.
• Report unusual conditions or abnormal behavior.
• Participate in staff and training meetings.
• Communicate with staff members; prioritize tasks and stay safety-conscious.

KENNEL TECHNICIAN# KENNEL TECHNICIANOPELIKA, AL 36804## DescriptionDescriptions/ Job Summary:Kennel TechnicianJob Type: Full-Time and Part-Time available, HourlyCompetitive pay ratesGlobal K9 Protection Group LLC is looking for a dedicated and passionate Kennel Technician to serve as an integral part of the GK9PG Team.Responsibilities: * Feed animals as prescribed by Kennel Manager* Groom and bath canines* Assist doctors and kennel manager with the administration of medications or with patient restraint* Assist Veterinarians* Collect urine and fecal specimens* Maintain the cleanliness of the kennel area each day and carry out according to the schedule: daily, weekly, and monthly etc.* Ability to follow a regular schedule for cleaning and sanitizing, using chemicals and supplies: including but not limited to kennel area, cages, runs, wards and related areas; changes litter boxes and food/water bowls* Recognize and report any unusual condition or abnormal behavior* Participate in all staff and training meetings* Communicate with staff members* Ability to prioritize tasks* Safety conscience* Maintain constant vigilance* Ability to keep oneself busy and productive* Ability to listen and follow oral and written instructions* Positive attitude* Maintain cooperative relationships with others* Assist others and be willing and able to teach and other staff members kennel skills* Other duties as assigned* Physical: + Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
