Job summary

K2K9 Solutions in Jackson Springs, NC is seeking a kennel attendant to care for the well-being of K2K9 dogs, assist veterinary staff, monitor health, and maintain kennels. This in-person role includes day, night, and weekend shifts with a focus on compassionate animal care.

The position supports full-time or part-time schedules, with compensation starting at $14.00 per hour. A valid driver’s license is preferred to aid in dog transportation when needed.

• Feeds and waters animals as scheduled.
• Lifts and carries food from pallets to kennels.
• Completes forms and reports to Kennel Supervisor about care and disposition of dogs.
• Bathes dogs and performs basic grooming and care.
• Cleans and sanitizes kennels and equipment.
• Stocks food and kennel supplies.
• Maintains good relations with kennel staff and all K2K9 employees.
• Assists with transportation of dogs if necessary.

Salary Range: $14.00 Hourly

Responsibilities

• Maintains and cares for the physical well-being of all K2K9 dogs
• Assists Kennel Supervisor and/or veterinary staff, if necessary, with medical aid for the dogs.
• Monitors and observes animals for signs of illness or injury and reports to K2K9 Veterinarian.
• Feeds and waters animals as scheduled
• Lifts and carry food from pallets to individual kennels
• Complete forms and report to Kennel Supervisor regarding care, feeding and disposition of dog at conclusion of each shift
• Bathes dogs and performs related animal grooming and care
• Clean and sanitize kennels, kennel runs and kennel equipment
• Stock food and kennel supplies
• Maintain effective working relationships with all kennel employees including kennel master, dog handlers, kennel leaders, other kennel staff and all K2K9 employees.
• If necessary, assist Kennel Supervisor with transportation of the dogs

All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ensure that the dog’s health and well-being is of premium importance. Establish effective working relationships with all kennel and K2K9 employees.
