Ranch Animal Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking a dependable Kennel Technician to join our boarding and animal-care team. You’ll care for hospitalized and boarding pets, keep a clean, safe, and welcoming facility, and support doctors and veterinary staff throughout the day.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in animal care or related fields, a strong work ethic, and a passion for animals. This is a full-time, on-site role with a consistent Tue/Thu/Fri/Sat schedule.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in animal care, boarding, kennel operations, veterinary medicine, or a related field.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
• Comfort handling dogs and cats of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Reli able attendance and punctuality; strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• As a Kennel Technician, you will help ensure our patients receive exceptional care while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
• Care for hospitalized and boarding pets and support doctors, veterinary technicians, and client service team.
• Assist with boarding, patient care, and hospital operations as needed.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.

At Ranch Animal Hospital, our Kennel Technicians are an important part of the veterinary team. You'll help care for hospitalized and boarding pets, maintain a clean and welcoming hospital, and support the doctors, veterinary technicians, and client service team throughout the day.

You won't just care for pets here. You'll become part of a team that cares about them, and each other.

Schedule and Compensation

$16.50-$18.00 per hour, based on experience

Qualifications & Experience

We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, compassionate, and ready to be part of a team.

• 1+ year of experience in animal care, boarding, kennel operations, veterinary medicine, or a related field preferred
• Comfort handling dogs and cats of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments
• A strong work ethic and attention to detail

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Veterinary experience is helpful, but we're equally interested in people who bring the right attitude, work ethic, and desire to learn.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday
• Comfortable working around animal dander, cleaning products, veterinary chemicals, and varying noise levels
• Ability to safely handle and restrain animals when necessary
