What Our Kennel Attendants Do

  • Provide daily care for hospitalized patients, including feeding, watering, grooming, exercising, and monitoring their well-being
  • Safely handle and restrain animals as appropriate
  • Observe patient behavior and promptly report concerns to the veterinary team
  • Administer non-controlled medications, supplements, or treatments as directed and permitted by hospital policy
  • Communicate professionally with clients and team members in person, by phone, text, and email
  • Provide compassionate and courteous service that supports a positive client experience
  • Clean and maintain kennels, cages, exam rooms, treatment areas, and hospital equipment
  • Assist with laundry, sanitation, stocking, inventory organization, and general hospital upkeep
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Follow hospital safety, infection-prevention, and OSHA protocols
  • Complete required training and maintain applicable certifications
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment
