Job summary

Best Friends Animal Hospital and Pet Hotel in Fayetteville, AR is seeking a friendly Kennel Attendant to support our care team. This part-time role focuses on comfort, cleanliness, and daily husbandry for hospitalized and boarding patients.

Shifts cover mornings and evenings, with weekend and holiday availability required. You’ll walk, feed, bathe, and monitor dogs and cats, communicate observations to the medical team, and help keep kennels stocked and organized in a collaborative hospital

Qualifications

• Compassion for animals; strong work ethic.
• Reliable, self-motivated with ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfort with cleaning duties and attention to detail.
• Prior animal care experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital cleanliness and uphold biosecurity standards.
• Provide daily husbandry and care for hospitalized and boarding patients.
• Walk, feed, and bathe patients as needed.
• Communicate observations and any changes in patient behavior or condition to the medical team promptly.
• Send client updates and happy photos to keep owners connected to their pets.
• Maintain kennel inventory and help keep supplies organized and stocked.
• Support a positive, team‑oriented hospital culture and uphold standards of patient and client care.

Position Summary:

We are seeking caring, motivated individuals to join our Kennel Team. Kennel Attendants are a vital part of our hospital, responsible for ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, and well‑being of the animals in our care. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys hands‑on animal care, takes pride in maintaining a clean environment, and wants to be part of a collaborative, community‑focused team.

Schedule & Details:

• Part-time
• Shifts: 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., Monday-Sunday.
• Weekend and holiday availability is required--including Thanksgiving and Christmas
• Ideal for university students, pre-vet students, or those looking to gain experience in a veterinary hospital setting.
• Please note: This is not a full-time position.
