VCA Wingate Animal Hospital in Englewood, CO is seeking two full-time Kennel Assistants to join a team that places pets and their owners as the top priority. You will provide daily care, keep kennels clean, monitor health, assist with bathing and medications, and support the medical team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with animals is required.
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively.
• Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners and answer questions about animal care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and repetitive tasks.
• This position requires availability for evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel facility
• Clean and maintain kennel areas, including feeding, watering, and exercising animals
• Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
• Assist with bathing, grooming, and administering medications to animals as directed
• Work with the medical team as needed when medical concerns arise
• Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior
