Veterinary United is seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team and help us improve veterinary medicine through teamwork, positivity, and comprehensive care for our patients.

Job Duties

• Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and common areas to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Wash and sanitize food and water bowls.
• Launder bedding and towels used by the animals.
• Walk, exercise, and play with animals to provide physical activity and mental stimulation.
• Greet and assist clients dropping off or picking up their pets.
• Provide updates to pet owners on their animal’s condition and behavior during their stay.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50 lbs without restriction
• Comfort working around potentially reactive animals

Physical Demands

• Stand for long periods
• Walk, stoop, reach, kneel, and run as needed
• Comfort with cleaning kennels multiple times daily
