Location: Newburgh, New York

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 / hour


Description

Join our amazing team as our newest Kennel Assistant! You'll love the day-to-day care of patients and boarders including feeding, watering, cleaning, walking, bathing, and monitoring the well-being of pets.


Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
  • Responsible for the day-to-day care of patients and boarders
  • Safe handling and restraint
  • Feeding and watering
  • Walking and bathing
  • Monitoring behaviors
  • Ensuring the well-being of pets
  • Assisting medical staff

What You'll Bring:
  • Must have previous animal experience
  • Must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects
  • A sense of fun and teamwork – Smiles and laughter are required for all who apply
  • Dependable and able to work independently
  • The ability to monitor pets for signs of distress or disease
  • A willingness to learn and the desire to provide gentle, compassionate care for boarded and hospitalized pets
  • References, background checks, and drug testing are required
