Qualifications

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and stay active during shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets, including feeding, watering and monitoring.
  • Maintain clean, sanitized kennels, cages and treatment areas.
  • Safely handle and restrain pets with low-stress, compassionate care.
  • Walk, bathe and provide enrichment to support pets' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Observe and report changes in behavior, appetite or health to the veterinary team.
  • Assist with patient preparation, cleaning protocols and general upkeep.
  • Manage laundry, dishes and facility cleanliness to ensure a safe environment.
  • Help create a welcoming, calm atmosphere for pets and owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets, including feeding, watering, and monitoring

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Previous animal care experience strongly preferred (kennel, boarding, daycare, or veterinary setting)
  • Strong commitment to cleanliness, organization, and efficiency
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and staying active throughout the shift
  • Ability to recognize signs of stress, illness, or discomfort in animals
  • Positive attitude with a team-first mindset
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced veterinary environment
  • Experience in a veterinary hospital or high-volume boarding facility
  • Confidence working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive, task-oriented approach
  • Passion for delivering consistent, compassionate animal care
