Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ seeks an experienced Occupational Medicine Lead Physician. The role focuses on clinical occupational health services, injury/illness evaluation, and specialty examinations for workers and payors.

The leader supervises staff, supports recruitment, and mentors team members to promote service excellence. The position emphasizes people-centered leadership, safety, and outcomes, with a weekday schedule (M-F, 7:30a–4:00pm).

Qualifications

• Must be a current Banner-employed physician with three or more years in Occupational Medicine.
• Board certification in Occupational Medicine or related field (Internal/Family/Emergency/Preventive/Public Health).
• DOT certifications upon hire or within one year of hire date.
• ACLS and BLS certification required or to be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical Occupational Health services and management of injuries/illnesses.
• Perform baseline and annual physicals and specialty exams for workers.
• Evaluate and treat occupational and non-occupational conditions; address infectious hazards and exposures.
• Supervise staff, assist with recruitment/hiring, and mentor team members.

Occupational Medicine Lead Physician – Phoenix, AZ

BANNER HEALTH, one of the country’s premier non-profit health systems, is seeking a BC Physician in either: Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Preventative Medicine or Public Health, for an employed Occupational Medicine position for our Phoenix location.

Excellent opportunity for an experienced BC Occupational Medicine Physician to promote on our highly engaged team! Our Occupational Health physician will perform clinical Occupational Health Services, demonstrating competence in the evaluation and treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses, and the performance of specialty examinations provided to patients, employers, and payors associated with Banner Occupational Health Services.

OurOccupational Medicine Lead Provider will performbaseline and annual physical exams, evaluate, treat, and followup on industrial injuries and non-industrial medical conditions, infectious and hazardous material exposures.Additionally, directly supervising staff members and assisting with as needed recruitment/hiring and mentoring of additional team members. Leader will serve as a role model for staff and act in a people-centered, service excellence-focused, and results-oriented manner.

• Must be a current practicing Physician employed by Banner, with three or more years of Occupational Medicine experience
• BC in Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Preventative Medicine or Public Health
• DOT Certifications upon hire or within one year of hire date
• ACLS and BLS certified or obtain certification with-in 6 months of employment
• M - F | 7:30a - 4:00pm
