Overview

A family of four is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated executive housekeeper to assist at their weekend home in Woodside, CA, starting ASAP. The ideal schedule would be Thursday through Monday, 9am-5pm, for a guaranteed 40 hours per week, though there is some flexibility with the days of the week. At least one weekend day is required. The home spans approximately 12,000 square feet, including extra living quarters, plus outdoor entertaining spaces. The family includes a 3-year-old, a 1.5-year-old, and a medium-sized dog. While you won’t be responsible for caring for the children or the dog, the family asks that you enjoy being around kids and pets and can maintain a positive relationship with them. The home is staffed with an assistant and a nanny, so you must be comfortable working as part of a team. This role requires a high level of expertise in luxury home care, cleaning, and organization to maintain the estate’s pristine condition.

Responsibilities

  • Meticulously clean and maintain the estate, ensuring all areas are kept to the highest standard.
  • Handle delicate items and high-end furniture with care.
  • Provide proper care for high-end artwork.
  • Extensive formal laundry experience, including washing, stain treatment, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and linens.
  • Manage dry cleaning.
  • Keep household and child-related items organized and declutter spaces as needed.
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and household essentials.
  • Assist with dinner party and event preparations.
  • Run errands, including grocery shopping, post office, etc.
  • Potential to help at the family’s main residence, 45 minutes away.
  • Assist with packing and unpacking for family trips.

Qualifications

  • Background working in a luxury residential or estate environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and willingness to jump in and help where needed.
  • Phenomenal organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to understand household needs and preferences.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • Positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach.
  • Responsible, trustworthy, and honest.
  • Physical ability to perform required tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a similar capacity in a high-end home.
  • Available to start ASAP.
  • Must enjoy working around children.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma and proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
