Job summary

FlightSafety International is hiring a KC-46 Pilot Instructor to lead simulator-based training for U.S. Air Force and allied personnel.

You will conduct initial, upgrade, requalification, and refresher training using a suite of simulators and devices, ensuring high proficiency and safety standards across aircrew and maintenance tracks. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, 5 years of relevant instructor experience, 200 flight hours in receiver aircraft or simulators, and active

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience as a qualified Receiver AAR Pilot Flight Instructor or ATS Instructor within last 5 years.
  • Minimum 200 flight hours in USAF/allied receiver aircraft or simulator; 50% in aircraft; tanker AAR instructor desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct all Initial, Upgrade, Requalification, and Refresher training using devices (classroom, PTTP, PTTB, BOT, FuT, WST, KC-46 aircraft).
  • Conduct ground-based training for Aircrew in tanker/receiver procedures and diagnose student issues.
  • Train Maintenance Personnel in Engine Run courses.
  • Lead briefings, debriefings, and counseling to develop student proficiency.
  • Extract student data, analyze results, and prepare for reviews.
  • Serve as KC-46 Pilot SME for students and staff.
  • Maintain high standards of instruction and KC-46 knowledge.
  • Contribute to courseware corrections and policy updates.
  • Operate the Student Management System.
