Job Description
  • Act as the Project Quality Assurance (QA) lead, serving as the “voice of Quality” to the Project Director/Manager.
  • Manage Quality by analysing customer contracts for QA/QC (Quality Assurance / Quality Control) requirements and identifying proactively potential issues during execution.
  • Ensure regulatory and quality compliance by developing project-specific quality strategies and identifying proactively risks for potential NCRs (non-conformities).
  • Monitor implementation of quality control measures and quality documentation deliverables for each work package to achieve project quality objectives.
  • Integrate and train project team members on QC tools, Quality Systems and processes.
  • Prepare the Project Quality Plan, project-specific Inspection and Test Programmes, Corrosion Protection.
  • Coordinate customer workshop inspections and third-party inspections during production to maintain quality standards.
  • Serve as the main interface for the customer on quality issues, tracking conformity, addressing technical quality queries and checking their progress.
  • Consolidate and verify equipment and Plant Conformity Quality documentation (CE/UKCA).
  • Drive continuous improvement (Lessons Learnt) by analysing conformity issues impacting CoPQ (cost of poor quality) using methodologies like 8D/RCA, CAPA (corrective & preventive actions), Lean, and Six Sigma.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years in Project/Site Quality Management.
  • Experience with welded constructions (Boiler, Piping, Steel Structure, Static & Rotating equipment, etc.) in Energy from Waste, Renewable Gas, Power Plants, and Oil & Gas.
  • Industrial experience in Quality Assurance/ Quality Control during plant engineering, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of harmonized standards (e.g., EN 12952, EN 13480, EN 1090).
  • International Welding engineer/specialist or inspector certification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of NDT methods (RT, UT, MT, PT, VT), Level II certification (preferred).
  • Familiarity with project management and quality tools (e.g., PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, 8D).
  • Knowledge of relevant UK/EU directives (e.g., PED 2014/68/EU, MRL 2006/42/EC, ) and ASME BPVC code.
  • Proficient in English; German and/or Italian language knowledge is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel, up to max 20%.
