Byers K9 Services LLC is expanding its operations in Utah and is seeking an experienced security professional to join our team as a K9 Security Handler and Utah Qualifying Agent (QA).
We currently operate one K9 security contract in Lehi, Utah, and are looking for an individual who can work assigned K9 patrol shifts while also serving as our company's designated Utah Qualifying Agent.
The primary focus of this position is K9 patrol operations. The QA portion involves oversight of our current Utah operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fulfilling the management responsibilities required by the Utah Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL).
With only one active Utah contract, the initial administrative workload is expected to be relatively limited. However, the individual must exercise the management authority required under Utah law.
As we secure additional contracts, there will be opportunities to expand into supervision, management, and regional leadership positions. Additional responsibilities and compensation will be discussed as the company grows.
Company ownership will continue handling companywide administrative functions, including payroll, billing, business development, and other executive responsibilities.
This position offers two compensation components:
K9 Patrol Compensation: Hourly pay for assigned K9 security patrol duties.
Qualifying Agent Compensation: Additional compensation for fulfilling designated management and regulatory responsibilities.
As the company expands throughout Utah, opportunities may become available for increased patrol hours, supervisory positions, contract management, and regional operations leadership.
We are looking for someone interested in building a long-term professional relationship with a growing company. The opportunity for advancement will depend on the individual's interests, performance, qualifications, and business growth.
