K9s For Warriors Inc. is seeking a K9 Procurement Trainer to lead evaluations, procure dogs, and oversee transport logistics for our Veteran-focused program.

You will work under the K9 Procurement & Placement team to ensure dogs meet program requirements and are delivered safely to Veterans nationwide. The role involves weekend/evening/overnight shifts, extensive travel, and collaboration with shelters, breeders, and coordinators to maintain high standards of dog readiness and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in service dog training.
• Ability to identify dog behavior.
• Minimum 2 years with unfamiliar dogs.
• Shelter/rescue dog evaluation experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary training evaluator for Provider Dog Program.
• Perform on-site/off-site evaluation for rescue dogs that meet program guidelines.
• Respond to behavioral concerns with sound judgment and appropriate action.
• Safely handle dogs with varying histories and temperaments in different environments.
• Coordinate transport logistics (flights, cars, hotels) with occasional overnight travel.
• Maintain records in Smartsheet, Excel, and Salesforce.
