K-Mag Team Lead (12) - Surface Prod Tech
This position is responsible for working with K-Mag/Granulation and identifying issues in processes prior to failures.
What you’ll do:
Processing on demand samples (Cyclones, wet screens, crushing screens, sieve analysis, starch, Etc..), data retention from samples, and communicate with operations to maintain a smooth and efficient operation.
SME for Dedust cars offloading and maintaining and auditing arrmaz areas.
Manage production equipment and supplies from screens, bags, ball racks, apex, Poly deck, pumps, forklift, reagents, and production building.
Maximo training will be required for DTR, SR, and asset management.
Work with production to get belt wipes biweekly.
Assist the PC Leads with TA jobs and working on plans and resources.
Must assume responsibility for process operations decisions as needed for efficient, quality production.
Must be able to conduct safety inspections to comply with state and federal law and conduct pre-shift safety meetings and safety observations.
Must demonstrate safety leadership skills through, the use of safety leadership tools and observations.
What you’ll need:
Must be able to use the necessary equipment and tools (shovels, various chemicals, etc.) to perform the job duties.
Must be able to perform a variety of tasks, follow instructions, analyze, monitor, and learn new processes and procedures.
Must be able to read, write and should have a good understanding of basic mathematics, some knowledge of chemistry desirable.
Must demonstrate skills in planning, scheduling, and exercising independent judgment/decision making.
Must understand product quality control and plant recovery.
Computer skills such as basic word processing payroll entry and use of the maintenance work order system are required.
Must be a self-starter, demonstrate leadership skills and work with minimum supervision.
DCS experience preferred.
The ideal candidate must be capable of identifying and correcting problems and demonstrate a willingness to accept responsibility through initiative, leadership, and team skills.
Must have good attendance record for past 12 months meaning, must not have been on a final written warning in the last 12 months.
Must show proof that the candidate is a true safety leader by using the safety tools provided, including but not limited to observations, pre shift/post shift, area inspections, mobile equipment inspections, discussion with peers on safety related issues, participation in safety/toolbox meetings etc.
Must not have been on a final written warning for any reason in the last 12 months.
Must have a proven record of efficiency, high performance, and high work standard through the use of operational SOP’s.
Must have at least three years of experience at Mosaic or similar operations.
If there are no candidates who meet the three years of experience requirement, the company may choose a candidate who meets all other qualifications.
Must be a qualified K-Mag Control Room Operator. Must be able to start up and shut down K-Mag without assistance.
