Duties and Responsibilities:

The Teacher in Residence (TIR) program is a great way to bring your passion for teaching to our school! We are proactively hiring talented teachers for the upcoming school year before classroom openings become available. As the school plans its classroom schedule, TIRs will be assigned a specific classroom and will collaborate with school leadership and other teachers in the same grade level to prepare for the upcoming year.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing to assume responsibility of a classroom teacher when a vacancy becomes available.
  • Creating an engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Leveraging a curriculum proven to drive student success, utilizing provided curricular resources tailored to student needs.
  • Analyzing and using student data to inform teaching practices.
  • Collaborating professionally with fellow teachers and support staff to meet the goals and individual needs of each student.
