Job summary

Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship is hiring a 7th Grade Math Teacher to join our entrepreneurship-focused charter school east of Pittsburgh. The role requires PA K-8 certification and a degree in Education, with a starting salary of $50,000.

You will deliver direct instruction, align to Pennsylvania standards, and use data to guide learning. Responsibilities include differentiation, assessment design, and integrating PHCSE’s Microsociety curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education required.
• Active PA K-8 certification required.
• Knowledge of Pennsylvania State Standards and Common Core.
• Experience with non-basal curriculum.
• Minimum 3 years lead classroom teacher experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to students.
• Implement Pennsylvania State Standards and use PVAAS data for achievement goals.
• Differentiate instruction using data and observations.
• Support PHCSE Microsociety entrepreneurship curricula.
• Design coherent instruction and student assessments.
• Maintain classroom management and contribute to school policies.
• Participate in parent conferences and professional development.
