Job summary

Pueblo School for Arts and Sciences (PSAS) in Pueblo, Colorado, is seeking a Music Teacher for the K-8 program. The role reports to the Principal and supports a Paideia-based curriculum with a focus on differentiated instruction and collaboration with families and staff.

The position offers a 10-month calendar, participates in extensive professional development, and includes competitive salary with strong benefits. A Colorado teaching license is preferred.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM REQUIRED: 4-year degree from an accredited college or university
• PREFERRED: Colorado Teaching License; Experience teaching K-8; Experience at charter school; Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet, simple webpage building, electronic gradebook and email

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate a program aligned with Colorado State Standards and Paideia Principles.
• Differentiate instruction and create engaging learning experiences for K-8.
• Coordinate events and performances; manage logistics and communication with families.
• Maintain classroom environment and student behavior consistent with school policies.
• Support teachers, students, and staff; collaborate with families and administration.
