Job summary

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School (OLMC) in Waterbury, CT seeks a full-time P.E., Health, and Computer Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. The role supports PreK through 8th grade students within a faith-based, supportive parish community.

The candidate will develop engaging lessons, assess progress, and facilitate activities in both indoor and outdoor environments, including Chromebook and iPad-based lessons on digital citizenship and CS concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 2 years classroom experience preferred.
Experience in teaching P.E., Health and Computer Science is a plus.
Ability to engage middle school students and support diverse learners.
Commitment to faith-based environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Create engaging daily lesson plans addressing academic and spiritual growth.
Instruct P.E. and Health following the school curriculum; adapt activities as needed.
Deliver Computer Science lessons using Chromebooks and iPads; cover digital citizenship and CS vocabulary.
Assess student progress and report grades for each trimester.
Maintain confidentiality and foster positive behavior and parent communication.
