Job summary

EastSide Charter School in Wilmington, Delaware, seeks an Elementary Education Teacher for grades K-6. Sponsorship is NOT available. The incumbent will design, deliver, assess, and collaborate to raise student achievement for students from underserved communities.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree, is eligible for Delaware state certification, and has at least one year of urban teaching experience. 10‑month contract with salary based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• Eligible for State of Delaware teacher certification or certification in the relevant grade/content area.
• Minimum one year of teaching experience; two years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hold high expectations for each student

• Assist in curriculum development and backward planning
• Attend weekly department meetings
