Job summary

Hawaiʻi State Department of Education seeks a counselor for grades K-6 in Kaneohe. You will provide individual and group counseling, implement Leader In Me curriculum, greet students at drop-off and pick-up, and monitor attendance with letters to families.

You will collaborate with the school social worker on home visits and support students who are homeschooling, contributing to a positive, inclusive school environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required for counselor position.
• Must obtain Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students in grades K-6.
• Deliver instruction using Leader In Me curriculum during rotational blocks.
• Greet students at morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.
• Monitor student attendance and send attendance letters.
• Work with the school social worker on home visits.
• Monitor students on homeschooling.
