Job summary

American Preparatory Academy – Draper Campuses is seeking a dynamic, passionate after-school singing teacher for our Sistema Utah program. You will teach singing and choral music to K–6 groups, fostering creativity, discipline and community through high-quality instruction and engaging ensemble activities.

This part-time position runs on weekdays after school, with a training week, and pays $18.50–$22 per hour, depending on experience and education.

Qualifications

• Experience leading children's choirs or vocal groups.
• Ability to manage large and small groups of elementary students.
• Willingness to participate in training and coaching.
• Spanish-speaking encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Teach vocal technique, choral singing, and ensemble performance to K–6 groups.
• Select engaging repertoire that suits varied styles.
• Collaborate with site staff to foster a positive learning environment.
• Maintain engagement across all singing classes and ensembles.
• Assist with post-program pickup and daily classroom reset.
