Job summary

Richmond County School System is seeking a Teacher to plan and provide learning experiences under the supervision of the principal. The role focuses on creating an environment that supports the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of students to ensure Success for Every Student.

Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and maintaining records in accordance with RCSS policies, while collaborating with parents and staff to foster student

Qualifications

• Knowledge of RCSS curriculum and effective instructional practices.
• Ability to infuse technology into curriculum.
• Excellent oral and written communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans a program of study that meets student needs and supports Success for Every Student.
• Reports to work on time and is prepared for all classes and duties.
• Creates a classroom environment that engages students and helps them achieve objectives.
• Provides instructional program to meet needs of all students including those with disabilities.
• Prepares lesson plans and documentation as required by the principal or designee.
• Communicates clear objectives and guides learning toward curriculum goals.
• Monitors and updates student progress and maintains records.
• Maintains safety and orderly classroom operations.
• Plans activities for instructional assistants, teacher assistants, and volunteers.
