Job summary

Delta-T Group, Inc. is seeking Certified Teacher K-5 on a temporary basis in Philadelphia, PA to support classrooms as a Sub-Teacher.

The role pays an hourly rate and requires a PA Substitute Teaching Certification or emergency certification routing, plus a bachelor’s degree. Responsibilities include following lesson plans, maintaining a cohesive student experience, managing the classroom, adapting methods, supervising students across areas, and assigning in-class and take-home tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• PA Substitute Teaching Certification or emergency certification/building sub permit process.
• Ability to complete and satisfactorily pass State Criminal Record Check, State Child Abuse, Department of Education FBI.

Responsibilities

• Follow the lesson plan(s) left by the teacher for whom you are substituting in accordance with districts philosophy, goals and objectives.
• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground and in the cafeteria
• Provide in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan
