Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Substitute Teacher for Grades K-5 under Gwinnett County Public Schools guidelines. You will provide classroom instruction and maintain orderly classrooms in the absence of the teacher of record.

Requirements include an associate degree or 60 college hours, transcripts from all colleges attended, and GCPS substitute training or a valid teaching certificate. Prior substitute teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 60 semester hours from PSC-approved institution required
• Transcripts from each college/university attended required
• Satisfactory completion of GCPS Substitute Teacher Training within 30 days or possession of a valid/expired teaching certificate
• Prior substitute teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction for the teacher of record.
• Conduct supervised small groups based on lesson plans by the teacher of record.
• Maintain classroom management and follow behavior plans.
• Communicate with parents, colleagues, and school staff as designated by the teacher of record.
• Adhere to district policies and maintain student records and confidentiality.
