Job summary

Craven County Schools in Vanceboro, North Carolina is seeking a Tutor to collaborate with teachers to support reading and math development for elementary students. This part-time position reports to the school’s principal and offers hourly pay and immediate starting date.

Qualifications

  • Three years’ successful classroom teaching

Responsibilities

  • Support and work with principals, teachers, and school improvement teams to gain knowledge of needs and strengths of school.
  • Assist children, aged kindergarten through fifth grade in development of reading and math skills.
  • Engage in academic activities with select students in one-on-one or small group.
  • Utilize assessment information before, during, and after instruction to guide instructional design.
  • Assist in analyzing data relative to the impact on activities and student achievement.
  • Maintain confidentiality of data and information.
  • Support and participate in Professional Learning Communities, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the principal.
