ACCEL Schools LLC is hiring a K-5th Grade Teacher for Academy of Arts & Technology in Marion, Ohio. The role focuses on delivering engaging instruction, differentiating for diverse learners, and fostering social-emotional development within a high-performing charter school context.

Responsibilities include planning, recording student progress, collaborating with families and staff, and leveraging technology to enhance learning.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Comfort in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Ability to supervise students of various ages in different settings.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience in urban education environment.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with modifications as needed.
• Differentiate instruction to meet all students’ needs.
• Maintain records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in.
• Utilize curricula reflecting diverse backgrounds.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Incorporate technology into daily classroom practice.
• Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities, as needed.
• Collaborate and communicate with colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
