Job summary

Global Educational Excellence (GEE) seeks a K–5 Instructional Coach to partner with classroom teachers across multiple campuses in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, MI. The role emphasizes co-planning, modeling, observation, data analysis, and targeted professional development to strengthen elementary instruction.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with Michigan elementary certification and at least five years of successful elementary teaching experience, with a preference for a Master's degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with elementary endorsement or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of successful elementary teaching experience.
• Satisfactory criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Coach teachers one-on-one and in small groups through co-planning, modeling, co-teaching, and structured observation cycles.
• Analyze assessment data with the principal and school data team to identify instructional priorities.
• Introduce and support implementation of research-based instructional strategies and curriculum fidelity.
• Build teacher capacity to use assessment tools and respond to individual student needs.
• Collaborate with the principal to develop and facilitate targeted professional development.
• Meet regularly with other instructional coaches to align practices across GEE campuses.

Location: Central Academy, Pittsfield Acres Academy and Global Tech Academy — Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, MI | Local travel between campuses required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, and standing for extended periods. Work environment includes elevated noise levels.
