Job summary

Great Hearts Lakeside Lower School in Fort Worth, TX is hiring a K-5 Teaching Assistant/Apprentice Teacher. The role supports the lead teacher in delivering a Core Knowledge curriculum. A bachelor’s degree is not required; an AA or 60 college credits or ParaPro may be considered in some locations.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree is not required for this role.
Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
US work authorization is required.
Employment is contingent upon successful background check and fingerprint clearance.
Some locations may require an AA, 60 hours of college credit, or ParaPro proficiency exam before beginning work.

Responsibilities

Assist the lead teacher in implementing the Core Knowledge curriculum.
Support/act as a second teacher in the classroom under mentorship of a Master Teacher.
Collaborate with teachers to support instruction, student learning, and daily activities.
Attend faculty meetings, school events, conferences, and assigned duties.
Pursue ongoing professional growth and deepen knowledge of the classical tradition.
