Reports To: School Director

FLSA Classification: Classified

Full-Time/Part-Time Status: Hourly, part-time, non-exempt

Regular/Temporary: Regular

Salary: Hourly Framework (Step 1, A-K) Range: $16.30 to $18.28/hour

Starts: August 10, 2023

JOB SUMMARY

The Academic Coach is responsible for ensuring that students with diverse needs have access to the general education curriculum. Academic Coaches play a crucial role in maintaining a low student-teacher ratio and providing individualized attention for student success.

Duties include:

1. Assist with the instruction and supervision of students with learning differences
2. Facilitate tutorial activities for individuals or groups with learning differences
3. Monitor student progress and contribute to evaluations and parent conferences upon request
4. Administer and evaluate tests for general placement
5. Monitor classrooms and provide instruction in the absence of a teacher
6. Build rapport with students to enhance behavior, academic performance, and social relationships
7. Provide clerical support including typing, completing documents, and note-taking for students

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 60 college credits completed
• Experience in a school or learning environment preferred

SALARY & BENEFITS

This is an hourly position with variable hours up to 35 per week and does not include benefits.
